Hey, what’s up, welcome back to the Home Based Business Podcast. So, today, I want to dive deep into how to start a home based business. The reason I want to cover how to start a business today is because that’s the reason I believe you are here in the first place. Obviously, this is the Home Based Business Podcast so, you’re here to learn how to start a home based business. And obviously when starting a, during all of our interviews and all the solo shows, we go in depth with so many different areas, so many different topics, so many different people’s experiences but today, specifically, I want to go into how to starting a, why it’s so important, how to do it, what happens when you do it, and what’s going to happen to you if you decide to build a home based business that becomes successful. 

So, before I get into this today, I just want to share a quick story on how I got into starting a home based business, you’ve probably heard my story already. I was working a 9-5 job, 12 hour shifts, as an EMT, working the 911 system and I just knew that wasn’t for me, I couldn’t see myself doing that for the next 20 years of my life. I wasn’t happy, I wasn’t fulfilled and I just wasn’t aligned with it, right. And I always knew there was something out there like with $3,000 that was better for me and I just didn’t know what it was and you know, like I’ve said before, as I went through that year, where Iwas lost and depressed and unsure what I was doing with my life. And one day, someone introduced to me how to build a home based business  like with $3,000 and from that day forward, I realized, I was like, “Okay, cool, I could start a business, I could learn how to do this, I could surround myself with people that have the results that I want and I know if I go after this and commit, take action, learn as much as I can, I could eventually get out of my job.”, which is the best is what I was able to do after building my home based business for a few years. And so, that’s what happened to me, I pretty much started a business out of necessity and the reason I say necessity is because we shouldn’t be living our lives if we’re unhappy 24/7, right? And so with your own, for me during that period of my life, it was a necessity to get out of that way of life, and to change my life. Because with your own  life is so short, we should be able to live a life that is fulfilling, we should be able to do work that provides value to the marketplace, that’s able to help people, right? And that’s not where I was at before I started a home basedbusiness. So, that’s what happened to me. 

Now, I want to go into why starting a business is so crucial, is so important and why I started, why I think you would want to learn how also. And I could explain small it in one word and that one word is freedom. That is why we want to start a business, that’s why we want to start a home based business is because when you’re able to have success in a home based business, you will achieve freedom in your life, and that freedom could come into your life in so many different ways. Think about it an online, an extra, even $100 a month, an extra $100 a month could really transform your life, depending in this financial situation that you’re in right now. When learning an online  in LA County, I’m from So Cal, in LA County, they say someone that’s going into bankruptcy, if they had $500 extra a month, it would prevent them from going into bankruptcy, right? And so with, that extra $100, that can make a difference depending on what’s happening, right? So, think about it with, how can $100 give you freedom in your life? That could be extra groceries for the family, right? Maybe the if you’re short on paying your car note, that could help you pay your car note, right? Maybe that could be one extra trip in a month so, you could start enjoying your life a little bit more with businesses, or maybe that could be investing into your personal development so, you could get better results in your business for the future, right? And so, even a little bit of money is able to give you the freedom. 

Now, let’s say once you start earning extra income with, let’s say anywhere between 1000 to 5 to $10,000 a month, what ends up happening is the income that you’re earning with, it doesn’t only provide you financial freedom, but what ends up happening is now you’re starting to have time freedom, right? Because you might have started with little money to supplement your income, right? Just to earn extra money with little money on top of your job but I would imagine, some of you might want to replace your income. And if you can replace your income with a home based business, what happens is, all of a sudden, you create time for yourself, you create time freedom, because now you no longer have to rely on going to work, working a 9-5, trading time for money. Now, you could work from home, and it gives you so much more freedom, it gives you so much more time, what ends up happening is now you’re in so much more control of your life. And so, the answer to why you would want to start a business is the freedom. And easy once you have freedom, you have control and if you have control, you’re able to do what you want, when you want, where you want, with who you want and you can live a life that you want, and you can be happy with, you could really be happy living an ecommerce life that you want, if you could get to an ecommerce freedom. 

So, what are different ways to start a home based business that can get you to the freedom that you desire? And today with start up, in our current economy, our current marketplace, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of different ways to earn extra income. By utilizing the internet, we have so many different ways to earn income, so many different business opportunities, I’ll name a few. You could get into sales, you could get into marketing, you could create your own product or your own service. I meet so many people these days who are working on their personal brand, who create their own products, their own services. So with the start up, you can market your own products and your own services in the marketplace, you could get involved in network marketing, you could get involved in direct sales, MLM, you get involved in affiliate marketing, right? You could start up get involved in Amazon businesses, drop shipping, you could get involved in the currency market, you could get involved in social media marketing businesses. There are literally so many different types of businesses with no money that you can get involved in on social media, on the internet. This is the 21st century, everything is possible in my personal opinion, everything is figuredoutable like Marie Forleo says.

Ryan: So dropshipping, let’s say you have dozens, dozens and even hundreds of different options for what you can do to start a home based business, how do you decide what is the right fit for you? And this is what I recommend because I’ve tried different businesses in the past, right? And this is what I recommend. Number one, do your research, do your own due diligence, take a look at all these different businesses and see if they fit with who you want to become, right? Does the success in that particular businessgive you the lifestyle and the freedom that you would want in your future? If the easiest answer is no, consider doing something else, if the answer is yes, cool, take a lookand see if it’s a fit for you. One of my mentors told me, successful people always check things out. So with ideas, when you get introduced to a business opportunity, at least take a look so you know what your options are. You could always say no, you don’t have to say yes to everything, you could always say no. So, at least take a look at best online so you have options, so you know the best online, what are your choices out there in the marketplace for you to start a home based business.

Another aspect to consider when you’re deciding what business to start is the best small, is take a look at your strengths and take a look at your weaknesses. There’s actually a test, you could take the Gallup StrengthsFinder Test, and what it does is it determines what are your top strengths. And what you could do is best small, once you know your strengths, you can determine what you should pursue in your life and in your business, right? So, take a look at your strengths, take a look at your weaknesses and that’s going to be a huge eye opener for what you actually do when it comes to your business, right? So, make sure you’re hyper aware of who you are as an individual. 

And from scratch another aspect and I’ve said this before is, find mentors. Find people in that space who have the success that you want. For example from scratch, if you decide, “I want to get into direct sales.”, don’t ever take advice from someone who has never been in direct sales before. That is the number one biggest mistake I see for people who want to start their own businesses, is they take advice from their friends, their family, from people that don’t have success in what they want to pursue, right? That just does not make sense with steps to . So, if you want to pursue direct sales and you’re considering that, find someone in direct sales, who is successful at direct sales steps to, learn from their experience, learn what works, learn what doesn’t work, and then make an educated decision if that’s for you or not, right? 

And lastly the checklist for, this is, I think, one of the most important things when it comes to having success in a home based business, once you figure out what it is that you’re going todo, you want to develop grit in that And grit is just sticking with something for at least two years. Because the checklist for if you could develop grit, that two year mark, you’re able to just endure for years and years and years, so you could create something magnificent, right? And so home, once you figure out your one thing, start developing grit, all of your personal development should be based around you getting better at that one thing, and over the years, you’re just going to become a worldwide expert in that area.

So without money, what if you are able to start your own home based business and achieve the success that you want in it? Imagine without money what’s going to happen to your life, think about it. Like, I said, the reason why I started that is for freedom and I know, because I’ve talked to a lot of people who want to become entrepreneurs and I talk to a lot of entrepreneurs and they want freedom, time freedom and financial freedom. From home because most people in their current circumstances working at a job, even though they might have good income, they do not have time freedom, they do not have the freedom that they desire. So from home, when you start a home based business, and you actually get to a point where it’s successful, that’s what’s going to happen to you. It’s going to give you choice, it’s going to give you direction, it’s going to allow you to live the life that you want, it’s going to allow you to design your life, and I want that for you for your own small. I want you to get to a point where you’re just fulfilled, and you’re happy, living the life that you want, with your own small earning the type of income that you want, and having the time that you want to have for yourself, and whatever you value in your life, you know. 

So much, today, I hope you got value to understanding why starting a home based business is so important, what it really takes to start your own online, how they work and what will happen to your life when you start and build a successful home based business. And I want to end with a story on how my life has changed from being at a job to working a business from home. What’s interesting is podcast, when I was working at a job, I was just working a 9-5, I didn’t have that time freedom, right? And another aspect is, I didn’t have the money that I wanted in my life. You know, there was a cap because I could only work so many hours in a week, right? There’s only 168 hours in a week and we can’t work every single one of them, right? So, I had a cap on my cheap income, working my 9-5, and I was unhappy, I wasn’t fulfilled, right? And then, what ended up happening, I learned about starting a home based business, I got involved in that and I started taking the action, I started learning what to do and now, fast forward five years down the road, I quit my job five years ago. I’ve had a home basedbusiness for the last five years, just working from home. What is a good? And you know, in the past, I was working a 9-5 with no freedom and today, I have a full time home basedbusiness that gives me all the freedom that I desire. And in the past at my job, my income was capped because I could only trade so many hours of my life for the income, and today, there’s no cap on my income, and that’s the beauty of having a home based business; you could earn as much income as you want earn; it all depends on your goals and your productivity. What is a good? And in the past at my job, I was very, very unhappy, fast forward to today, this is the most fulfilled I’ve ever been in my whole entire life because I’m living my purpose, I’m living my passion and now I’m in a position where I can give back to people like you and it’s absolutely remarkable. 

So, that’s it for today for the most profitable. If you’re already at a most profitable position where you have your home based business chosen, develop grit, keep going after it. If you’re on the fence, still learning what’s out there, like I said, successful people check things out so, do I be patient, do your due diligence do I, and check your gut, make my own sure what you’re pursuing feels right, make sure my own aligns with your future vision what kind of, your future goals what kind of, and go after it should I. All right, go out there should I and build a successful home based business. Peace.
