Yo, what’s up? I have Mr. Lorenzo here today. What’s up, bro? How are you, man?

Lorenzo: What’s up, Ryan? I’m feeling good. Fantastic honor to be here.

Ryan: Dude, I love it. So, just to let you guys know me and Lo go back years, I’ve been seeing him on his journey for a while and it’s cool because we work together, but outside of that, he also has his own business that he’s been building and that’s why I wanted to have him on and kind of share like his mindset, his journey with us. So, how’s your year going so far, bro?

Lorenzo: Year’s going good man, despite all the things going on, like COVID and getting laid off of work, thankfully, I wasn’t one of those people. But man with everything going on, I found a way to just stay positive, stay even more fired up, my business has actually forexed since the beginning of COVID. And it’s pretty insanebecause I mean, there’s so many people just you know, struggling out there, and thankfully, from a decision I made back when I was in college, I’ve been able to reap some better rewards.

Ryan: That is perfect. Yeah, it’s insane. From what I’ve noticed, if you’re already an entrepreneur going into COVID, and what’s been happening with the shut downs, like you’re blessed, because you pretty much set yourself up for security during all of 2020 in most ways so, that’s dope that you’re experiencing that bro.

Lorenzo: Yeah, man.

Ryan: Cool, man. So, let’s dive deep. Let’s get into it. I want to go all the way back to before you were an entrepreneur. So, maybe let’s go back to I don’t know, elementary school, middle school like, high school Lorenzo. So, what was your life prior to you thinking like an entrepreneur?

Lorenzo: Yeah, so before I even got introduced to business, the idea of business, entrepreneurship, I was an athlete actually, most of my life. My parents always had me in different sports, literally trying all the sports, basketball, I played baseball in my first six years of being able to play sports, then I got into basketball, played soccer, found out I didn’t like it, but then it was kind of funny, I ended up loving soccer, it became my passion. And I think just competing at an athletic level really helped build the foundation for my competitiveness, my desire to be great, and just like push through, you know, and also working with a team. So, my background is a lot of athletics and also skateboarding. I mean, I was just an all around athletic kid who just liked being out, exercising. And I learned a lot from all that. And then also, I was just, I had some good parents, honestly, I believe that put some pretty good principles inside of me, they let me know, or taught me you know what it means to work for something and then reap the reward. So, there was no free handouts in my life and yeah, I was just mostly an athlete, just listening to my parents, going through the motions, didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. And yeah, I just knew I actually wanted to be a professional soccer player but that didn’t end up happening, I ended up going a different route; but we’ll get into that.

Ryan: Yeah, no, for sure. It’s interesting how the environment that we grow up in shapes, literally the course of our whole entire future. So, you’re blessed man to have good parents, and them wanting to put you into sports. So yeah, I was gonnasay there’s like a lot of successful entrepreneurs I meet, they already had a background in playing sports because it develops like that hustle mentality, and that’s what you’re saying. So, what would you say is like, the biggest takeaway you got from playing sports that has helped you apply it to like the business world?

Lorenzo: First one that came to my head was, don’t quit. If you really want something, push through to get that goal. You just got to get obsessed about it and it’s really like, that set the foundation for me to go after my goals because in sports, you know, the goals were, you know, I wanted to play varsity soccer, and I wanted to play college soccer but the long term goal was always to be a professional soccer player. And even though I didn’t become a professional soccer player, I still, you know, like I shot for the stars, but I got right to the clouds. So, for me, that’s what was really the biggest thing, not quitting, the determination, and getting obsessed about a goal to just put your whole heart into.

Ryan: Yeah, 100%, even though that sounds cliché, not to quit, I really believe that is one of the main foundational principles to like success, in general, regardless of whatever you’re pursuing, you know?

Lorenzo: Yeah, I actually had this crazy moment that when you asked that question, the first thing that came to my head was like, this moment, where I was like, I was playing baseball, so I was super little and I was really young, my dad– I didn’t dress up to a baseball game because I went to Sunday school, and I had a baseball game after that, I didn’t want– I was embarrassed to wear my baseball jersey to school. So, I showed up to my baseball game without my jersey and my dad, he just took me out of the game, he took me home, you know, gave me some scolding that till this day, I am not a quitter, because of that day. Yeah, that really instilled not quitting.

Ryan: One moment can change– a decision that you make that changes your life forever, bro. That’s insane. Okay, so Lorenzo, you’re young, you’re in sports, you develop this never quit attitude and you develop what sounds like an obsession like, okay, I’m gonna go after it like until like, this is my thing, right? So, you have these characteristics so, when does entrepreneurship kind of come into play? Or when do you start thinking about, hey, like, this might be something I want to do with my life?

Lorenzo: Yeah, so for me, I reached my goal of playing college soccer. I ended up going to the University of Laverne, I was a walk on for the school. I played my first two years there, freshman and sophomore year and then, after my sophomore year, something happened to me in my life that drastically changed the direction of my goals. So, during college, my goal was to be a pro soccer player and I actually got kicked off the soccer team end of my sophomore year in college and it was kind of like man, I feel like, my journey has been taken away from me, because all I could think about during college was wanting to go pro. And it got taken away from me like that, in an instant, and it wasn’t for anything bad, like partying or anything like that. But I actually wanted to try out at the next level of different divisions and after that, I just wasn’t welcomed on to the team. And I just honestly, now I look back at it and I see that that was a gift from God, to direct me to what I’m really supposed to do. And it really directed me into using my competitiveness and like that goal setting, that desire for just greatness, to literally all my skills from sports, it put me in a new environment in business. And so, the way I got introduced to business was I got kicked off the soccer team and then I was like, what am I supposed to do with my life now? Like, you know, my major is economics, I’m not super excited about it. And I actually joined a fraternity on campus, just wanted to, you know, meet more people on campus, and I started meeting these people. The one kid that changed my life, he actually invited me to a business presentation, and I was like– he was like, do you want to come to a business presentation with me? I was like, how old are you? He said, 18, and I was 19 at the time. And I’m like, you’re 18 and you have your own business already? I’m in, I want to go on, let’s do this. And so, that was it. So, I went to go check out the opportunity and it just changed my life. I was everyone in the room was inspired to like learn and it wasn’t like I was learning about history or anything like that; I was actually learning something, seeing the presentation of like, these people are making money. You know, they’re doing a presentation and they’re getting paid and I’m doing presentations for a grade and I was just like, there’s something special here. And ever since that, I just continued to show up to those presentations, those meetings weekly for free, right, just voluntarily because I loved the environment. You know, I got to like, dress up nice and just really introduced me to a whole new world, that really changed my life till today.

Ryan: Wow, bro. Okay, so I want to go back a little bit, you get kicked off the team and maybe temporarily, like, what were your emotions at first?

Lorenzo: Hopeless man, really hopeless, not knowing what to do like, like really thinking like, is this real? Like, this is really happening. Like, the coach is gonna let us back on like, he can’t be serious, and so we did. I mean, I did everything I could to get back on the team, we went– so, it was me and two other guys who got kicked off for doing all the same thing; wanting to try at a higher level. But pretty much, you know, we went to the head of the athletics on campus, talked to them, let them know what happened and they were pretty much taking the coach’s side on it and I was just like, man, honestly, like, after that point, I didn’t really try to pursue it any longer. I was like, okay, like, I guess this is it. Like, this is a sign, you know, so I was just really like in a calm ocean, just by myself, not knowing what to do. And then, that’s when we made the decision to just get more involved on campus and then that’s when the fraternity came.

Ryan: Okay, that makes a lot of sense. Because, you know, if something happens like that to someone, you really have two options. Number one is like, you’re hopeless and you quit, like, you probably don’t feel like you see a future anymore. But for you, you saw it as a sign, right. And I think that’s super powerful because just that one decision that you made during that time of change, like changed the whole course of your future, right? Man, that’s crazy, it reminds me of Dwayne The Rock Johnson when he wanted to be a pro football player and he couldn’t do that and he felt lost. And then, all of a sudden, he became one of the best wrestlers ever, you know? Crazy, bro. Okay, so then you join a frat, because you want to get more involved in the school, right? What was the reason behind joining the fraternity?

Lorenzo: So, I mean, I wasn’t having anything to do with my time other than go to school, and I was working at the time at a job at Costco actually. And, you know, school and work, that’s all I really had for those few months. And I was like, man, I don’t want to let this time in college go to waste. So, I mean, I loved talking to people, I loved being social and I loved the hot girls in college so, I figured, you know, joining a fraternity will one, help me meet some more people on campus, two, it’ll put me out of my comfort zone so, I’ll you know, be excited and have something fun to do. And then three, three was the girls, the inspiration.

Ryan: Wow. Okay, I love it, bro. So, that’s interesting, man. So, you had a period of hopelessness, but you used it as a sign and then you got out of your comfort zone to join a fraternity, to meet new people and that’s when you started networking, then you met this 18 year old kid who’s younger than you, but who has his own business. How did you feel when you met someone who was younger than you who had his own business?

Lorenzo: I was in– I was like, a big question mark on top of my head. Like what? Like, that’s possible? You can do that? Like, I had no idea how simple it was to start a business. Like, I didn’t even think about being a business owner in my life before that moment and it just put the idea in my head, like planted a little seed.

Ryan: Wow. Okay, so you get involved with this group of people who, they’re entrepreneurs, they have their own business, they’re successful, and what was the biggest thing that made you want to stay with this team, this group of people?

Lorenzo: Let’s see, so in that group of people, you mean by a fraternity? That’s how I’m taking it as.

Ryan: No, when you got involved in the business. So yeah, when you met that 18 year old kid, and you saw that he was successful, he had his own business, like what inspired you to really want to pursue this?

Lorenzo: Okay, so I know everyone listening on here, I’m gonna say it for people to get value as well. So, for me, it was just the energy in the room. It was honestly, it was a bunch of young people my age at the time, 18 to probably 21, checking out this business presentation. And these kids were– they had good energy, they had a good head on their shoulders, they were thinking– they just thought differently than everyone else in college that I was hanging around with, you know, these kids at this business presentation, at this meeting, they would show up every week, be consistent, they were taking action, right? Just like school gives you homework, but these people were taking action, and all this is voluntary. So, I’m like, man, like, I was just surrounding myself with different people that thought differently, and it just started making me think differently. And so, I pretty much just fell in love with the idea of, wow, like, this is a program, like an educational course, like super similar to college, I’m here right now for free, I didn’t have to like pay, and I can keep showing up and learning as much as I want. And then, honestly, the environment was just a place where they didn’t– I didn’t have to sign up for the business yet, you know, I definitely took my time in learning as much as I could before I started and it was probably about two full months before I actually made the decision to invest. And then after that, I just started doing the simple steps that, you know, network marketing asks of you. I was inviting people to come see a presentation and so, I started developing these skills and started seeing myself grow, my dream started growing, and I just got addicted; I just got addicted to it.

Ryan: Addicted to success, bro, I love it. So, the biggest thing I got from that is you start surrounding yourself with people who are thinking different, which inspired you to start thinking different. And so, that’s literally the law of association in action, which is like you become who you hang out with, right? And so, if you meet people who are successful, they have their own businesses, it’s only a matter of time before you become successful, and you start having your own business, right? Man. So, tell me when does WALI come into the play? When did you get the idea for WALI?

Lorenzo: Yeah, so WALI, I always had this idea in high school of starting a clothing brand, like it was always a little seed in the back of my head. And then, once I got introduced to the idea of business and starting for myself, it was about probably a month after I was going to these meetings where I was like, man, like to start a brand or business like, I just have to start it, like I just have to do it. Like, it’s that simple. So, I started thinking more often, this was in college so, end of my sophomore year. I was just thinking about the brand, like, what do I want a brand to represent? Why would I want to build this brand? You know, who am I going to tell that I want to build this with? And I remember it was one day, I was thinking of all these different names, I’ve had a bunch of different names for the brand and then I finally took the time to sit down and be like, okay, what do I want my brand to represent? What do I want it to be about? And then, I got these different words like, you know, working hard, lifestyle, achievement, inspiration, and then I scrambled the words together and it spelt WALI. And instantly I was like, work, achieve, live, inspire, WALI, like this is it. And it took me like seven minutes to really get that answered.

Ryan: Wow, bro. Oh, that sounds like another sign from like, God is like, wow, there it is, there’s the name right there. So, you said in high school, you first had the idea for a clothing brand, right? What inspired that? Like, did that just come out of nowhere? Did you have an experience that kind of inspired you to want to do that?

Lorenzo: So, I’ll go back a little bit to middle school actually. In middle school somehow, I didn’t know what entrepreneurship was but I would go to the swap meet with my dad on Saturdays every now and then and I loved Mexican candy, you know, so I was at the swap meet, I had all these Mexican candies that I would buy for like five bucks, right? And they would come in all these individual watermelon chili lollipops, and I would sell those in school. And so, I would sell them for like a quarter or 50 cents each and I would make some extra money and that was the first time I actually ever noticed my entrepreneurial-ness. I didn’t notice it myself, like I was unconscious about it, but I just thought wow, like I’m making some extra money and it’s kind of fun. And then, I started getting competitors in middle school so, then I started raising my prices.

Ryan: Dude, I love it. Yeah, that’s so funny. All right, keep going, bro. Yeah.

Lorenzo; Yeah. And then so, that was the first time in middle school where I ever kind of actually noticed that I had, like, I was making money. Like, no one taught me nothing, no one told me what to do, I didn’t know there was a transaction, you know, you pay here, you know, like, it was just fun. And so, it was really natural. And then into high school, I didn’t really keep with the selling candies or anything, but I don’t know, it was just like a little back of the head idea of wanting to start a brand or clothing brand; maybe it was for coolness, or you know, just wanting to be cool or just see other people in my own clothing that I thought of, you know, just progressively seeing an idea come to life. But I think that was the idea at the beginning.

Ryan: It’s because you’re already an entrepreneur, man. You’re selling candy in middle school so, you already had this drive deep in your heart and you even said it yourself, you said it was unconscious. Like, unconsciously you are good at selling and it was fun and natural. And so, I think a matter of time before you have ideas like that that just comes to play, right?

Lorenzo: That makes sense, yeah.

Ryan: Man, that’s amazing. Okay, so WALI, what’s the future for WALI? What are you guys doing right now with WALI?

Lorenzo: Yeah. So, right now with Wally, we’re actually in, well, let me take it a little back. So guys, if you guys didn’t know what WALI stands for, it stands for work, achieve, live inspire, it’s kind of, it’s a lifestyle, community brand based off of working hard to achieve the way that you want to live and you’re inspiring others on your journey, when you’re taking the steps on your own, you know, the self initiative to go after your dreams and that’s what inspires others. So, because everyone’s always watching you, you know, you’re either going after your dreams, or you’re watching other people do it. So, we just decided to create a community of individuals who, you know, were interested or getting their interest peaked in business. And honestly, it started off with self development. Like, my journey of entrepreneurship and business really started with self development, you know, I was learning new skills that could actually produce income for me, you know, skills that were valuable to the marketplace and I didn’t learn these in schools, I learned it in a network marketing meeting, right? And I just loved this idea of self development or getting better or learning these skills that are actually valuable in the world. And so, what WALI is, pretty much WALI is a collection of all these like minded individuals that I’ve met on my journey of business and entrepreneurship, simple, just genuine relationships with people who want to grow in their life. And what I’m really seeing WALI turn into is a foundation and almost a gateway entrance to self development, business and entrepreneurship. So, people who are first getting introduced to, you know, creating income for themselves or being in the driver’s seat of their entire life, WALI is the place where they can tune into, get connected and plugged into a community, like a whole world of people who are fired up all the time about creating their best life and it’s a place for them to consistently come to, so that they can get the education, self development, awareness to create that life for themselves. It’s like a future University, it’s like a WALI University, WALI Academy. And right now, we’re actually, we’ve been hosting masterminds, we’ve been hosting event. Man, 2019 was the greatest year, I think, because we actually started doing these live events in person at the college that I went to, you know, we didn’t tell the administration or anything, we just kind of found a room and just started promoting like, hey, we’re having this event. You know, you can come live WALI with us. You come work, achieve, live, inspire, learn from other entrepreneurs who are, you know, doing it, you know, building a business, succeeding, struggling, pushing through, thinking differently so, if you guys want to be into that, like environment, like this will be a place to come. And honestly, it just really grew organically, honestly.

Ryan: Wow. Bro, I don’t know if you noticed this, but I see trends in your story. So, because you went from wanting to get involved in a fraternity to be around people, then you got involved, you met that 18 year old kid, and you wanted to be involved around that community, people who knew where they were going, and then you created your own. To me, it sounds like a give back community, like a self development community and so, you’ve gone through different stages of just being together with people and creating a community, bro. Man, it’s amazing. I love it. So yeah, that is so cool. So, it’s a gateway to self development. So, tell me more about these masterminds. So, how have you been structuring the mastermind and kind of what value have your attendees been getting from the masterminds?

Lorenzo: Man. Honestly, I don’t even know where to start. But I’ll start from the beginning. So, when we first started with these masterminds, didn’t really, you know, expect much, I just wanted a lot of people to come and just be inspired and actually learn value that they can apply to their lives throughout the week, or even that day, you know. And the way we started, it was just with me and my friend Ashley, we put our minds together and we’re just like, hey, like, let’s put together some of our groups of friends and let’s create an environment for people to come learn about, you know, growth, personal growth, spirituality, mindset, social media marketing, entrepreneurship, business relationships, and just all these pillars that are needed to pretty much create a successful business or lifestyle or, I’m sorry, a fulfilling lifestyle, you know. Because you can create success in your life but it’s really about you know, are you fulfilled going after it? Are you enjoying it right now? And it’s really justhelping people learn how to think in the right direction, to get them to be their fulfilled purposeful self. And what I noticed was that if you don’t promote events, you’ll get a smaller audience to attend; if you promote it consistently with passion, it will continue to grow. And I just saw the audience kind of fluctuating the first year that we were doing it, it was going up and down, we’d have our, you know, a super high week, and we may have like a low week. And what I’ve learned from this process is stay committed, you know, be 100%, because your team will be as committed as you are to it.

Ryan: Boom, and that goes back to you playing sports, bro, never quitting, staying committed. Let’s go, I love it.

Ad: So, this is exactly the kind of topic that we’re constantly talking about in our Facebook community, the home based business community, it can be really hard to find a community of like minded people who are working towards similar goals. If you want to join the conversation there, it’s absolutely free. So, head over to ryanallenbell/community and click the join button.

Ryan: This actually goes into what I wanted to talk about, which is the topic of the week, which is talking about character, building events, growing a community, I know that’s one of your strengths, because literally that’s what you do with WALI, is you bring people together to grow community. So, when did you realize that you were good at like building a character and building community and like a culture and events like that?

Lorenzo: Yeah, I think it was when I first got introduced to business, because I noticed when I was going to these meetings, right, in network marketing, you want to be able to invite people to a demo or presentation and I noticed that I was honestly one of the top ones in the group who were bringing the most people, you know, getting, having the opportunity to have the most success. And right there is when I kind of noticed, like, wow, I have the ability to influence people, you know, I can get people to want to come to a party, I can, you know, people want to be my friends, people want to listen to me for some reason. And the more I learned about self development, the more aware I became of what influences people, I started seeing these traits in myself, which was, you know, I got a good head on my shoulders, I was raised with good parents so, they set a good example for me. Thankfully, they, I was born into a family who loves God, Jesus and that really helped set me a strong foundation of faith, to believe in my dreams, believe in myself. And I think all these things just started adding up over time and then once I saw, we were able to get 60 people in a room for a WALI mastermind, I was like, wow, like, this can really grow; it’ll grow as big as I commit to. So, that’s what I did.

Ryan: Yep, that’s all bro. I love what you said, you said, own what you’re good at, right? And that’s what you did, and it just reminds me of, we should own our strengths. Once we realize what our strengths are like we could build on top of our strengths and that’s how we can make a dent in the marketplace. And that’s literally what you’re doing bro is you realize, like, hey, this is your strength, this is what you’re good at and this is what you’re doing, you know.

Lorenzo: And it’s like a natural passion so, natural gift almost. And then, going backwards a little, I honestly always thought I was a little shy of a person, you know, always having kind of those second thoughts not having the top confidence, you know, like, I would be friends with the coolest person in school, but I would think of myself as not equal. You know, like, I don’t know, if it’s just me trying not to have an ego, trying to have humility. But definitely believe in yourself, 100%, because people will tell you things that might get into your head that will start trickling down your confidence but it’s in those moments where you got to really push through and believe in yourself. And I know it’s so cliché, believe in yourself but it’s, you know, if you can conceive it and get yourself to believe it, you will achieve it.

Ryan: That’s the truth, bro. 100%. That’s the truth, man. I love it. Okay, so this being the Home Based Business Podcast, I have a belief that the only way to achieve true freedom is to future proof our income by creating a plan to quit our job and start a home based business. So, I want to ask you the same thing and there’s no right or wrong answer, it’s really whatever you believe. So, do you believe that the only way to achieve true freedom is to future proof your income by creating a plan to quit your job and start a home based business and why?

Lorenzo: Yeah, so I believe a home based business will change every single person’s life in America and the world because you become your own economy. You know, you have the ability now to create your own economy and once you start a home based business, you realize like, you can earn as much as you want, but it’s all based on your ability to stay disciplined to the necessary actions to get you the results that you want. And then, exactly what you said, create a plan to quit your job so you can create that freedom for yourself and a job will only pay you enough to keep you there so that you don’t quit so, that you know, but they’ll replace you at any time. But when you’re your own boss from your home, you can work from anywhere; it doesn’t necessarily have to be at home, you know, you can be traveling, as long as you got a laptop and Wi Fi, then you have the ability to, and a product or service to sell, of course. But honestly, yeah, that’s the best way to go. I mean, 2020, 2019, 2030, like, I think the whole economy is shifting, everyone’s waking up to the fact like, you can’t just be counting on one source of income, especially if you’re not in control of that ability to produce income, you’re only showing up when they schedule you to show up. But you can schedule yourself to show up to your home based business every single day, you know, you can be talking to people every single day, spreading your product, the awareness, marketing it, every single day at all times and then you know, you can take a break if you want, you can take a step back, you can relax, you can create that balance, you can take your kids to school, you can study for that test, you can go to school full time and still build a home based business, you can have a part time job, full time job and still build your extra source of income to create that freedom so you can eventually leave that job so that you can be fulfilled, live your purpose help others do the same, duplicate.

Ryan: Dang, Bro, I need to give you a mic so you could drop it, drop the mic. Words of wisdom, I don’t even have anything to say that was just so perfect. Yeah. So perfect. Okay, so, yeah.

Lorenzo: Can I ask you a question Ryan on that?

Ryan: Yeah, go for it. Go for it. What’s the question?

Lorenzo: Why do you think building a home based business is so important now to create that freedom for yourself?

Ryan: Well, it gives you independence, I believe that’s the biggest thing. If you work for someone else, they’re always controlling your destiny, right? If you work for yourself, you have complete independence, you could literally build the business you want to build, you could work with who you want to work with, you can work when you want to work, you could earn as much income as you want to earn, you could, you know, take as many days off as you want to take, you can learn whatever you want to learn, you could change your zip code, if you want to change your zip code, it just gives you freedom and independence. So, if that’s what you want, which I believe at the end of the day, like it is one of our core desires is for us just to have freedom and to have independence. Like, you have the ability, a much higher ability to achieve that with a home based business rather than working at a job, you know. So, yeah, 100%.

Lorenzo: Can you talk about the plan, so you said right, to create a plan to leave your job with your home based business. So, I think that plan is so important, right? Like, what are some ways that you plan to create, you know, to eventually leave that job for the audience listening?

Ryan: Yeah, 100%. So, obviously, if you want true freedom, you want to create a plan to quit your job and start a home based business so, that’s where education and patience comes into play. Because you have to do your due diligence to see what are the options out there for seeing what can we do to build or to create that freedom for ourselves, right. And so, once you figure out what your options are, then you have to create a plan on how to build around that so, you could eventually be able to replace or supplement your current income. It’s kind of like what you said, bro, when you first got introduced by the 18 year old kid about business, and you said you looked into it for about a couple months before you made a decision to get involved. And so, during that time, you’re literally doing your due diligence and creating a plan like, hey, is this the right fit for me? Yes, it was a right fit for me, you know. And so, you know, that’s my best advice for it, just get educated, be patient and figure out like what is the right fit. And at the end of the day, you’ll know what feels right, for sure, you know?

Lorenzo: Yeah. And something I didn’t mention, when I first got introduced to business was, yeah, I checked out that first business for about two months, then decided it was a good investment, did the investment, it was small, right? Like 400 bucks, but at the time, right? I was a broke college student 19 years old, like, bro, like, I’m about to drop 400 bucks on this, I haven’t spent that on me ever, you know. And, I mean, it was just a decision to invest in myself and that is what really put me on to where I’m at now because I bet on myself, you know, I took a bet and put it on me. And I mean, going forward, right, yeah, your due diligence of checking it out first is so important. And I mean, honestly, I’m not with that company that got me started but I’m with that same mindset with that, you know, with that same desire for that freedom. And eventually, I found the perfect business for me, you know, like, I’m in the perfect business, you’re in the same business. Like, it’s absolutely incredible and it’s really about the community of people you’re surrounding yourself with, you know, being passionate about the product that you’re promoting, because you want to promote something that you really truly believe in and then from there, it’s the company and you and making sure you’re in the right industry. So, those are five pillars that I think are important.

Ryan: Dude, and I think one of the most important things you just said was investing in yourself. Because if you don’t take a bet on yourself, like you said, if you don’t invest into you know, yourself financially, even with your energy with your time, like you can’t get to where you want to get to. I think that’s a big thing is no matter where you’re at, no matter what’s going on your life, if you want to get to the next level of your life, you need to invest in yourself, whether that’s investing, like I said, putting in a lot of time into something, put a lot energy into something or investing financially into something and that’s what you did, bro. And look, look at where you’re at now, you know.

Lorenzo: Yeah, so happy, so fulfilled and so, those three things that you said, your time, energy and money, I’ve seen people invest money, but not put their time and energy into it to see the results.

Ryan: Yep, it’s like a trifecta, you have– it’s like a triangle, you have to have all three to have a solid structure for sure. That time, the energy and the money like you have to– it’s not a wish, like okay, here you go, please come true. No, you have to like putyour both feet in, plant your flag and go after it, you know.

Lorenzo: Burn that bridge, burn that ship.

Ryan: Dude, I love it. Okay, so here’s the question for my audience, the people listening, they really, really want to build a successful home based business, right? What is your best advice that you could give to someone listening who really wants to become successful in a home based business?

Lorenzo: If you really want to become successful in a home based business, what is my best value to you? Well, if you’re listening right now, and you’ve never thought about building a home based business, that’s okay. But first, ask yourself what kind of life you want to live, you know, describe kind of what you want your life to be like, I think that’s the great starting point. For me, that’s where I started and in all the books I read, desire is the starting point of all success. So, really creating that desire for yourself, figuring out what you want in your life, you know, because most people in this world, they know a lot of what they don’t want and if you ask people, what do you want? They’ll tell you exactly what they don’t want but that’s not the question. The question is, what do you want? What exactly do you desire with your life? You know, and if money was, you know, you got to start asking yourself questions like, if money was no object, how would I live my life? What would I be doing? How would I be spending my time? And those create a new awareness in you. Because maybe you’ve never took the time to think about that, you know, what would my life be like without a job, if I had all this money and freedom, you know, how would I spend it? And that will create a burning desire in you, right? So, create a desire, and then create a burning desire around it. And once you have that desire, a reason to go, right, if your dreams are bigger than your problems, like Gio says, then you’ll be able to overcome all obstacles in your way, you know, you’ll know exactly why you’re doing it. So, create a strong desire, a strong why, and then find the right vehicle to get you there.

There’s a lot of businesses out there, network marketing is a phenomenal industry, tons of different products, tons of different teams, leaders, organizations so, it’s really finding that right one for you. You know, for me, I went through different companies, different organizations, and finally found the one that was right for me, I think it was a lucky number three, my third company that I got involved with. And yeah, so there’s just different industries and everything but really understand yourself, create that awareness for yourself, create that strong desire to where you want to go how you want to live, and you can live your life by design, you can work achieve, live, inspire. And once you create that desire, it’ll help develop your character, because you have a destination where you want to go. So, your character will be developing, and you’ll start attracting a better community into your life, and this community that comes into your life will inspire you to grow, inspire you to dream bigger, inspire you to take bigger, massive action, you know, they aren’t going to put up with the same shit that you’ve been doing all your life, you know, they’re gonna want you to level up with them. And you’re either gonna want to level up with them, or you’re going to find new community, and then your desires will drop, you know, and then your character will drop. And you’ll go back to where you are. But if you really are strong and clear on what you desire, develop that character, attract your community, then you’ll develop a culture that you’ll never want to leave, and a lifestyle that you’ve always dreamed of. I think that’s my tip right there.

Ryan: Wow, bro. That is great advice. Thanks for sharing. Okay, we’re almost done here. Before I leave before, before we call the end, I’m a quote man, and I think quotes are very, very powerful and I believe the right quote at the right time can really transform someone’s life; it could transform their mindset, it can transform everything about them. So today, currently, what is your favorite quote and why?

Lorenzo: Okay, my favorite quote and why. So, there was this quote I heard from Bob Proctor on a seminar he has called Born Rich, and what the quote is, I actually wrote it down right here. Are you guys ready? Don’t just listen but hear this, okay? Don’t expect God to do for you what God can only do with you and through you. I’m going to say that again. Don’t expect God to do for you what God can only do with you, and through you. So, don’t ask, so, what that means to me is don’t ask God for these huge, ambitious goals, these results in your life, if you’re not willing to put in the work, if you’re not willing to go through the struggle yourself. Because God can only express the goodness he has for you, through you, you’re the instrument that he expresses his greatness through. So, as much greatness as you’re willing to accept into your life, is what God is ready to give you. And you know, God, the universe, whatever that your listeners believe in, there is a higher power out there looking out for you, and supporting you and your goals. You know, it’s like think of it as a universal manager, you know, lift up your wants and your desires to him, know it’s coming in, you know, allow it to come in but you have to work at being that person that matches the goals, you know. So, I think that was a lot, a mouthful, for sure but I think it’s a powerful quote, and I’ll say one more time for you guys. Don’t expect God to do for you, what God can only do with you and through you. And that is the quotebut I do have one question for everybody and it has a very short quote at the end, which is the answer. So, my question is, what is the strangest secret in the world? You become what you think about most of the time. The strangest secret in the whole world, is you become what you think about most of the time.

Ryan: Boom, bro.

Lorenzo: To leave your audience with the question, what are you guys thinking about all the time? Because that makes your reality; that makes who you are.

Ryan: Dude, I love it, bro. Man, you have such a great story and you’re really doing big things, all over the world and I look forward to what you’re going to do in the future man.

Lorenzo: Definitely, bro, and you’re gonna be a part of it the whole way, you’ve been a part of it thus far. And I’m honestly so happy for you starting this podcast and all the success that you’re experiencing right now and that you have coming to you because this podcast, your brand that you’re building, is going to take off to a whole new level this decade.

Ryan: Wow. Thank you, bro. I really appreciate you. So, for those who want to get in touch with you, build relationships, do business with you, what is the best way for them to get in contact with you?
